Hello builders,
I was wondering what the weight difference would be of an Aluminium Frame build vs a Plywood frame build. Does any one know. The reason is that being on my own and moving a heavy metal R2 may be too much for me to handle. What are your aluminium R2 weights coming in at? Thank you for your help, regards, Joseph.

Re: Aluminium Droid Weight
My understanding is a full aluminum build is in the 200+ lbs range. I've just started my build and I'm probably up to ~25 lbs with the Scavenger drives, center and outer ankles.
Re: Aluminium Droid Weight
Close to 200lb I think, if 100% alu and well equipped. Having an alu or wood frame doesn't change that much honestly, wood is lighter but is more thick. I'd say that a com 8 budget frame is ligther than a birch wood frame.
I use a dolly to move it, something like this :

I add a custom made platform on it to secure it on the dolly :

And to work on it during the building process I made something like that :

But higher, to help my poor back
